Mediation Services, Inc. (MSI) depends on trained volunteer mediators and community supporters to deliver our services. Whether you want to become a certified mediator, support our programs, or help with outreach, there is a place for you on our team.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Mediator

Trained volunteer mediators are the heart of our organization. After completing our Basic Mediation Training, volunteers co-mediate real cases alongside experienced staff mediators.

  • Complete our 30-hour Basic Mediation Course
  • Co-mediate cases with experienced staff
  • Flexible scheduling — mediate at your own pace
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Earn continuing education credits (attorneys & social workers)

Youth Program Volunteer

Support our school-based peer mediation programs by mentoring student mediators, assisting with curriculum delivery, and helping facilitate youth conflict resolution workshops.

  • Mentor student peer mediators
  • Assist with in-school workshops
  • Help facilitate youth conflict resolution sessions
  • Work with elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Background check required

Outreach Volunteer

Help us reach more people in our community by supporting outreach events, social media, grant writing, translation, and general office support.

Meet With Our Team

We'll schedule a brief conversation to learn more about your background, interests, and availability, and to answer any questions you have.

Complete Training

Mediator volunteers complete our 30-hour Basic Mediation Course. Other volunteer roles may have shorter orientations or on-the-job training.

Start Volunteering

Once trained and onboarded, you'll begin contributing to our programs and making a real difference in the lives of community members.
