Mediation Services, Inc. (MSI) depends on trained volunteer mediators and community supporters to deliver our services. Whether you want to become a certified mediator, support our programs, or help with outreach, there is a place for you on our team.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Mediator
Trained volunteer mediators are the heart of our organization. After completing our Basic Mediation Training, volunteers co-mediate real cases alongside experienced staff mediators.
- Complete our 30-hour Basic Mediation Course
- Co-mediate cases with experienced staff
- Flexible scheduling — mediate at your own pace
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Earn continuing education credits (attorneys & social workers)
Youth Program Volunteer
Support our school-based peer mediation programs by mentoring student mediators, assisting with curriculum delivery, and helping facilitate youth conflict resolution workshops.
- Mentor student peer mediators
- Assist with in-school workshops
- Help facilitate youth conflict resolution sessions
- Work with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Background check required
Outreach Volunteer
Help us reach more people in our community by supporting outreach events, social media, grant writing, translation, and general office support.
- Community outreach and tabling at events

We'll schedule a brief conversation to learn more about your background, interests, and availability, and to answer any questions you have.
Complete Training
Mediator volunteers complete our 30-hour Basic Mediation Course. Other volunteer roles may have shorter orientations or on-the-job training.
Start Volunteering
Once trained and onboarded, you'll begin contributing to our programs and making a real difference in the lives of community members.
